We were honored this 2009 holiday season to be the supplier in conjunction with Scott Byron & Co, Inc. based in Lake Bluff, IL., of the Chicago Botanic Garden famous Christmas tree We transported the tree overnight from a farm in southeast Michigan. The tree was placed in its new home early November via helicopter. Check out the pics!

This month at Green Acres we made a “monumental leap” into capably digging 100″ ball size for trunk calipers over 10″. We now offer B&B, upon request, for those trees larger than 10″ caliper! In the summer we pre-water with at least 100 gallons of water for smoother digging and then let the ball sit on top of the ground for 24 hours to allow for the clay loam soil to become very firm before shipping. See photos for reference.
